The event was aimed to enable the final semester’s students to showcase their creativity, innovation and hard work as preparation to enter into the job market.
In his welcome speech, the Vice Chancellor of Air University, Air Vice Marshal (r) Faaiz Amir expressed his gratitude to the chief guest Ameer Ilahi, country manager of Saxon Pakistan, representatives of over 50 companies and other participants from faculty and students for gracing the occasion by their presence. Pointing towards the challenges of creating and maintaining industry-academia linkage, he added that Air University remains in touch with its alumni and industry to get feedback regarding relevance and usefulness of its various programmes and bring about required improvements in curriculum and pedagogy. He emphasised that corporate sector should play even more active role in helping the universities to bridge the industry-academia gap.
