­Earwax problem

Earwax (medically called cerumen) is a natural product designed to protect and clean the ear. But wax build-up can lead to hearing problems and other issues. The American Academy of Otolaryngology says warning signs of wax build-up include:

* Pain.
* Hearing loss, which may worsen over time.
* Hearing a ringing sound or other unexplained noise.
* Itching, discharge or unpleasant odour in or near the ear.
* Coughing.
