PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Friday announced results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination 2015 and all the top three positions were clinched by male students. The result was declared at the award giving ceremony for the position holder students held at the board. The gazette would be made public today (Saturday).Faraz Waheed of Forward Model School Hayatabad Peshawar topped the board by obtaining 1040 marks out of total 1100. Muhammad Saeed Afridi of the Frontier Children Academy Hayatabad remained second with 1037 and Intikhab Alam of the same institution stood third with 1035 marks. In the humanities group, Manahil and Ayesha Waheed of the Government Centennial Model School for Girls Nauthia got first and second positions by securing 977 and 926 marks, while Nimra Bibi from Government Girls High School Bashirabad Peshawar secured third position with 917 marks. A total of 68,195 students appeared in the examination of which 54,167 were declared successful with percentage of 79.42. In the Science group, 44,798 students appeared of which 39,440 passed the exam with 88.11 pass percentage. Similarly, in humanities group, around 23,270 students took the exam out of them 14,665 passed with pass percentage of 63.02. In category of additional subjects, as many as 127 boys and girls students appeared, out of them only 62 passed with per cent of 48.81. Mohammad Riaz Mayar adds from Mardan: The students of private institutions grabbed top positions as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan on Friday announced results of the Secondary School Certificate (annual) examination 2015. A total of 59,168 candidates appeared in the examination and 44,509 were declared successful, showing the pass percentage of 75.22. The first, second and third positions were grabbed by students of private schools. According to a press release, Mohammad Bilal of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi topped the examination by securing 1031 marks. The second position was shared by two students, Farah Afsheen of Peshawar Model School, and Mohammad Waqar of the Quaid-i-Azam Public School and Montessori System Mardan, who both secured 1,028 marks. The third position was shared by two students, Sarah Maqsood of Presentation Convent High School, Risalpur, and Muneebullah of the Quaid-i-Azam Public School and Montessori System, Mardan, by securing 1025 marks. In the Arts Group, Kajol Parvez of the Moonlight Public High School, Swabi, achieved first position with 914 marks, Hira Ibrar of the same school secured second position with 896 marks and Iqra Wahab stood third with 891 marks. Girls outshone boys in the results of Arts Group as all top three positions were won by female candidates.
