GUJRANWALA: Anti-Terrorism Court No-1 Judge Imtiaz Ahmad Chaudhry on Tuesday granted police seven-day physical remand of three accused in a murder case of MPA Rana Shamshad and his son.
Kamoke Sadr police station Inspector Muhammad Riaz produced the accused – Idrees, Saifullah and Shahbaz – in a court and sought their 14-day physical remand. However, the judge granted a seven-day physical remand.
DASKA LAWYERS’ KILLING CASE: A murder case of two lawyers came up for hearing in the court of ATC No-1 Judge Imtiaz Ahmad Chaudhry here on Tuesday.
The investigation in-charge told the judge that former Daska SHO Shahzad Warraich could not be produced in the court for want of security. He said that a trial in the main case was being held in the Central Jail. He said that challan in the case had yet to be completed. Hearing the argument, the judge extended judicial remand of the accused for 14 days and fixed the next hearing on June 29. He also ordered police to file the complete challan in the next hearing. Meanwhile, lawyers continued their protest and demanded death sentence for the accused SHO.
