SIALKOT: Erroneous police clearance certificates are being issued to the people in the district.
The certificate is an important official document required not only to those travelling abroad but also needed in the country for many purposes, including seeking government or private jobs. It is quite ironic that on top of the certificates ‘PUJAB’ is printed instead of ‘PUNJAB’ due to a printing mistake.
Meanwhile, District Bar Association former president Ch Munawar Warraich, Muneeb Warraich and others have demanded the district police officer take notice of the mistake and order printing of new certificates to save the people from any inconvenience.
When contacted, the police officials said that there were hundreds of certificates printed with the spelling mistake and as soon as they were finished, new certificates, free of any mistakes, would be get printed.
