KHAR: The leaders of various political parties Saturday rejected the proposed reforms draft of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) Saturday.
Addressing a public rally here, Aurangzeb Inqilabi of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), former Member National Assembly (MNA) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader Sahibzada Haroonur Rasheed and others said that the tribesmen had been suffering since long due to the draconian law of Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).
They said that the FCR was a hurdle to the development, peace and, law and order situations in the area.
“It’s a need of the hour to abolish the FCR now or never if the government wants development and prosperity in the Fata,” Aurangzeb Inqilabi said.
He said that there would be no terrorism in the country if the tribal areas had been transformed into settled area like other parts of the country.
They made it clear that they would launch a protest campaign if the government did not abolish the FCR in the tribal area.
