Islamabad : Singer, Amanat Ali, and impressionist, Shafaat Ali, lit up the indoor stage at Serena Hotel here on Friday night with their performances.
With actors, fashion models, businesspersons, foreigners and members of high society in attendance, Amanat Ali, scion of a musical family, won over the audience with his distinctive vocals and vivacious tone.
The youngster, who began receiving the training of ‘ghazal’ and folk singing at the age of 6 and has so far performed at around 1,200 concerts, sang Ek Taraf Hai Asman Ek Taraf Zameen, Allah Hu Allah Hu, Tujse Naraz Nahi Zindagi, Yeh Jo Halka Halka Saroor Hay and Dum Mast Kalandar to the rounds of applause.
He later engaged with participants by taking their song requests.
Everyone burst into fits of laughter as Shafaat Ali parodies politicians, including Premier Imran Khan, PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, self-exiled Muttahida leader Altaf Hussain, and US President Donald Trump.
Actor Sharmeen Ali hosted the event, which was organised by Rezz Ally Shah to launch the global property investment company Daniel Johns Group Pakistan’s latest project, Celavi, in Islamabad.
Supermodels Nadia Hussain and Cybil Chaudhary were conspicuous of their glamorous presence.
TV Talk show host Asimyar Tiwana and fashion models Sabeen, Zaara, Nosheen, Jiya, Amina, Zoya, Sunny, and Zainab were also in attendance.
Hasnain Zaidi, head of operations at DJ Group Pakistan, said the nine-storey Celavi would stand out as a new icon on Islamabad’s skyline offering modern luxury apartments, penthouses, and commercial shops in Bahria Enclave.
He said from structural design to construction to facilities, the project would certainly be one of a kind in the country.

He said though the country faced serious macroeconomic challenges at the moment, he strongly felt that the market would eventually stabilise.
Rezz Ally Shah welcomed the DJ Group’s real estate initiative and said it would contribute to the efforts underway for strengthening national economy.
