PESHAWAR: Accusing the deputy inspector general of police Yameen Khan of occupying their 100-kanal land, some residents of Swabi district have asked Chief Justice Supreme Court, Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, the Chief Minister and Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to order an inquiry against the senior cop and get their land vacated. Addressing a press conference here, the residents of Kunda and Balo Haryan villages, Arshad Iqbal and Hidayatullah maintained that the DIG Police had forcibly occupied their 60-kanal land after intimidating the peasants. They claimed the land was retrieved on court order. They alleged that three days ago the senior cop again occupied the 100-kanal land. They said that they submitted applications to deputy commissioner and brought the smatter into the notice of Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Asad Qaiser, but to no avail.
