IAF to hold convention in November
LAHORE: The International Apparel Federation (IAF) and Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) on Friday jointly announced holding the IAFs 35th World Fashion Convention in November 2019.
The announcement was made on the sidelines of the ongoing four-day Textile Expo (TEXPO) organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) at Lahore Expo Centre, a statement said.
IAF Secretary General Matthijs Crietee and PRGMEA Chief Coordinator Ijaz Khokhar said the convention would be held at a local hotel from November 11 to 13, 2019. It was aimed at opening new avenues for the domestic garment industry to collaborate with international buyers and leading global brands.
The IAF collaboration was happening for the first time in the history of Pakistan, and was being considered one of the biggest achievements, as it had the potential to boost exports of value-added textile products in the presence of the GSP Plus Status.
The theme of the 35th edition of this well-established global apparel convention is “Let’s grow together for a more prosperous and sustainable future”.
