LAHORE: Pakistan’s fastest emerging female rally driver Salma Marwat Khan added another feather to her cap this weekend when she won the inaugural Chakwal 4x4 challenge off-road rally. Salma displayed perfect control on steering as she raced her vehicle through difficult terrain to complete the track in mere in 22:09.40 minutes to finish the race as the winner in women’s category. Asma Raza Siddiqi, who finished second, was at least 1:32 minutes behind Salma. This is the fourth off-road title for Salma who emerged on Pakistan’s motorsports scene recently and has participated in eight different races. Anila Khan finished third. She has previously won Hub Rally, Sawat Rally and Sarfranga Rally titles. Salma later told journalists she is excited to win one more title. “It’s a great feeling to win titles, I love motorsports and I aim to be the best in this sport,” Khan aimed.
