Chinese delegation visits AIOU

A three-member Chinese academic delegation of Yunan Open University (YOU) visited Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) here on Thursday and assured its support for setting up a Chinese Language Centre and launching of academic programmes in the field of printing technology for the benefit of Pakistani students.
The delegation which was visiting Pakistan on the invitation of AIOU showed keen interest in strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest. It met AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui and decided to implement the MoU signed by the two universities last year.
The Chinese side offered its academic assistance to the AIOU for the introduction of online short courses in the field of print technology. The two sides will share their skill and experience for designing of the academic programmes. Leader of the delegation Professor, Shi Xudong invited the Vice Chancellor to visit their University for signing of formal agreement for this purpose.
