KARACHI: PPP Senator Maula Bakhsh Chandio on Sunday said interfering in provinces’ issues, especially in Sindh, is an illegal intervention by the federal authorities after the 18th Amendment that confers the autonomy and self-dependency to the provinces.
Criticising MQM Pakistan’s MNA and Federal Minister for Law, Barrister Farogh Nasim, Chandio said such an extrajudicial suggestion could only come from the MQM’s minister and an advocate of former dictator Pervaiz Musharraf. He said any intervention could have grave consequences while the federal law minister is trying to take revenge for the dissolution of his party.
The PPP spokesman said it is a continuation of Musharraf regime after PM Khan has adopted the MQM’s ideology. He said the prime minister should come into the parliament and admit his failure to run the country’s affairs accordingly as he earlier claimed about the MQM that the party was against the country’s national interests and had an armed wing.
Chandio also claimed that the PTI government has thrown the country into an economic and political crisis. He said Imran Khan is incompetent to rescue the nation against the economic and political crisis but he is good enough to blame others for his failures, suggesting the PM to take the parliament into confidence on all the national issues.
