ISLAMABAD: The newly appointed members of Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) on Friday took charge of their offices for a three-year term.
A statement said that with the appointed of Shaista Bano Gilani and Bushra Naz Malik, the commission now comprises five members, as stipulated in Section 14 of the Competition Act, 2010. The other three members are Dr Shahzad Ansar, and Dr Muhammad Saleem, and Vadiyya Khalil, who is also the chairperson of the CCP.
The statement said Shaista Bano holds a master’s degree in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College, University of London, and another master’s in the business administration from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad.
On the other hand, Bushra Naz Malik is an FCA from Pakistan and CA/CPA from Ontario, Canada. She did MBA from Joint Program of Kellogg Business School USA and Schulich Business School Canada, and Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School USA. She also holds an LLB degree.
