Explosives seized in Kohat
KOHAT: A huge quantity of explosives seized during the search and strike operations were destroyed by the police on Wednesday.
Police said that they had recovered and seized explosives, including rocket shells, fuses and bomb-making gadgets during search and strike operations conducted in different parts of the district. They said that the personnel of Bomb Disposal Unit dumped the seized explosives at the firing range located in the mountainous Ublan and Muslimabad areas and were safely destroyed.
Jarma and Jangalkhel police stations had seized the explosives during actions conducted at the respective jurisdictions. Meanwhile, the police in an action unearthed a winemaking factory and arrested its owner. Muhammad Riaz Shaheed Police Station registered a case against accused Santosh after a police party led by Station House Officer Inspector Riaz Hussain conducted a raid and seized a huge quantity of wine and hashish from his factory.
