KARACHI: Pakistan’s top squash player Tayyab Aslam moved into the quarter-finals of $30,000 CAS International Squash Tournament at Mushaf Squash Complex, Islamabad, on Tuesday.
Fifth seed Tayyab defeated Carlos Cornes from Spain 4-11, 5-11, 10-12 in 50 minutes in the second round. However, Farhan Mehboob and Asim Khan could not reach the quarters as seventh seed Mazen Gamal from Egypt beat Farhan 10-12, 11-13, 11-2, 11-4, 11-9 in 52 minutes in the second round and fourth seed Karim Ali Fathi from Egypt won against Asim Khan 11-5, 8-11, 11-4, 11-9 in 51 minutes.
