Iranian volleyball coach’s contract ends

KARACHI: The two-year contract of Pakistan’s Iranian volleyball coach Hamid Movahedi ended on Monday.Movahedi, who has developed Pakistan’s various age-group teams during his two-year stint as a coach, is being relieved. Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is not going to extend his contract.
“Yes, the PSB is not in a position to help us keep Movahedi anymore,” a senior official of Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) told ‘The News’ on Monday. The official said that he soon would be paid his dues and he would be relieved in few days. Under Movahedi Pakistan team last year defeated strong China and India in the Asian Games held in Indonesia.
