KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is likely to receive the FIH disciplinary committee's response by the end of this week.
Late in March, the PHF sent the the answers to the questions by the committee about the pull-out of Pakistan from the FIH Pro League, a PHF source informed 'The News' on Monday.
The source said the PHF has sent a comprehensive reply to the committee about why Pakistan did not participate in the FIH event after making commitment.
Another source said that it is expected that FIH would respond by the end of the first week of April. The lack of funds was the main reason behind not participating in the Pro League, he added.
Pakistan’s case was discussed in detail by the members of FIH executive board in the middle of March in Switzerland. PHF secretary Shahbaz Ahmed, who is also the member of the FIH executive board, defended strongly Pakistan’s point of view and sought the help of other members of the board.
