PESHAWAR: The provincial government directed the law enforcers to make stringent security arrangements for the protest of the tripartite alliance and keep a vigil eye on the anti-social elements.
The directives came at a high level meeting here on Tuesday with the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in the chair.Provincial Chief Secretary, Amjid Ali Khan, Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani, Home Secretary, Provincial Health Minister Sharam Khan Tarakai, Minister for Mineral Development Ziaullah Afridi, deputy inspector general of police and officers of the civil administration attended the meeting.
The meeting took stock of the prevailing law and order in the province and made some decision to provide security to the planned protest by the opposition parties today.The meeting was told that the terrorists could target the protesters and the law enforcers were directed to remain at high alert. The meeting decided to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on the route of the protest and provide foolproof security to the participants.
