Siraj for addressing provinces’ reservations
LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has warned that the federation should not do politics over the rights granted to the provinces under the 18th constitutional amendment.
He stated this while talking to JI Information Secretary Qaisar Sharif from Holy Makkah on telephone regarding the prevailing political situation in Pakistan, according to a press release issued on Sunday.
Sirajul Haq said government must address the reservations of provinces about the 18th Amendment and the share allocated for Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhrunkhwa should be given to them fully. Besides, he said, the three per cent of NFC award allocated for the tribal areas must be paid to them immediately so that development work could be undertaken there.
