BHAKKAR: Five schoolgirls and their driver were killed on Saturday when their auto-rickshaw collided with a passenger bus in Punjab’s Bhakkar area on Saturday, Geo News reported.
According to rescue officials, the girls were returning home after an examination when their rickshaw collided with the bus.
Five students and the driver were killed immediately while two others were injured.
The injured were rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The police said the bus’s driver fled from the scene. Locals staged a protest, blocked the main road and set the bus on fire.
