FAISALABAD: Commissioner Mehmood Javed and RPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar on Friday jointly held an open court at Chiniot Municipal Committee’s ground.
The officers listened to the complaints of the people and issued necessary orders on the spot. Deputy Commissioner Syed Aman Anwar, DPO Anwar Kathran, Additional Commissioner Mehboob Ahmad and the officers of different departments were also present. Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner said that the objective of the holding of the open courts was to apprise the public issues directly before the concerned departments so that immediate remedial measures could be taken as per satisfaction of the complainants.
He said that the complaints received during the open courts would be given special attention by the concerned departments and follow up would be taken regarding the departmental actions in this regard. He said that the open courts were being held to redress the public’s complaints.
He told that as per the directions of the Punjab government, the open courts would regularly organised by the officers of divisional and district administration/police on every Friday. He asked the citizens to participate in the open courts without any hindrance for getting their complaints redressed without any delay. He said that every possible relief would be provided to the citizens and the officers of Punjab government departments were following the policy of open-door at their offices for the ease of the public.
The commissioner said that open courts were also being hold at district level for listening and solving the complaints of the people. RPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar said that provision of rapid justice to the aggrieved citizens was the top priority of the police and all-out measures were being taken for protection of lives and properties of the people. He asked the police officers to give proper respect to the every complainant at police stations to raise the people’s confidence on police department. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Sardar Saifullah Dogar and CPO Ashfaq Ahmad Khan listened to the public complaints during an open court arranged at the Circuit House on Friday. They received the applications from the public and issued orders to the concerned officers for resolving the complaints without delay. The DC said that the people’s problems were being redressed on priority basis by the district administration. He said that the quality of departmental services was being raised to come up the expectations of the public. He said that open-door policy of the Punjab government was being followed for the facility of the public. CPO Ashfaq Ahmad Khan said that justice would be provided to the oppressed persons by taking legal action against the accused without any discrimination. On some complaints, the CPO ordered to arrest the proclaimed offenders and said that investigation of the cases should be carried out on merit.
