KARACHI: Pakistan’s No 1 Tayyab Aslam lost the final of $10,000 Men’s Open International d’Angers at Squash du Lac de Maine, Angers, France, on Sunday.
Third seed Tayyab was beaten by second seed Piedro Schweertman of Netherlands 1-3 in the final. Earlier, Tayyab had overpowered eighth seed Rober Downer of England in 11-8, 11-13, 11-1, 8-11, 11-9 in the semi-final.
Tayyab is now to play Victoria Open in July, Australian Open in August, and China Open in September.
