ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will perform the groundbreaking of four initial projects of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme next month.
In this connection, PM Khan Friday chaired a meeting on the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) here.
He was informed that the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme legislation had been finalised, and soon it would be presented to the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases, before being tabled in Parliament.
The meeting was told that four sites at Islamabad, one in Lahore and other in Quetta, were ready for the formal launch of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme.
It was decided that the prime minister would perform groundbreaking of these initial projects during second week of April.
The meeting was attended by Finance Minister Asad Umar, Housing Minister Ch. Tariq Bashir Cheema, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, Adviser to PM Abdul Razzak Dawood, SAPM Iftikhar Durrani, Secretary Housing, Secretary Finance and senior officials.
