Azerbaijan defence minister calls on COAS

ISLAMABAD: Minister of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on Friday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters.During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation came under discussion, said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability. Earlier on arrival at the GHQ, Hasanov laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly-turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented the guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.
