PESHAWAR: Two people were killed when armed men opened fire on rivals outside the Peshawar High Court on Monday. One Raj, son of Bakhtiar, was on way for a hearing in the court when armed men opened fire on his car. Raj and a passer-by Zahoor sustained bullet injuries in the firing and later succumbed to injuries at the Lady Reading Hospital. An official said that policemen deployed at the area chased the attacker and managed to arrest him near the Balahisar Fort. Police officials said the accused Samin had enmity with Raj. The capital city police officer announced rewards for the policemen who promptly responded and arrested the killer.
