Concern over ‘threats’ to Bilawal
LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party General Secretary Central Punjab Chaudhry Manzoor has suggested calling of party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting over the threats hurled at the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid.
Voicing concern over the threats hurled at Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by Sheikh Rashid, Chaudhry Manzoor alleged that Sheikh Rashid was a tout of terrorists and his recent statement couldn’t be taken lightly.
He said that the PPP would consult lawyers for the registration of case against Sheikh Rashid for threatening the party chairman.
Chaudhry Manzoor alleged that Sheikh Rashid’s links to the banned outfits were a known fact
and stated it seemed that prime minister’s consent was also included in the threat.
He said the threat was similar to the one that was hurled at Benazir Bhutto by former dictator Pervez Musharraf. Manzoor said that Sheikh Rashid was acting as the spokesperson for many quarters and everyone had to clarify his position over this issue.
