PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has announced a development package for Kohat district.
The package include the upgradation of District Headquarters Hospital, the establishment of a campus of the university of Engineering and Technology, establishment of women campus, a museum, an industrial zone, sports grounds, beautification project and developing Thanda Dam and Kasai project on tourism lines.
He was presiding over a meeting on Kohat district at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, said a handout.
Advisor to Chief Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Ziaullah Bangash, Principal Secretary to CM Shahab Ali Shah, District Nazim Kohat, Senior Member Board of Revenue, administrative secretaries and others attended the meeting.
A comprehensive briefing was given to the chief minister on different development, health and education-related activities in Kohat.
The chief minister directed for the upgradation of district headquarters hospital Kohat, the completion of remaining construction work of Liaqat Memorial Hospital, provision of necessary staff for the operationalisation of all hospitals and BHUs. He also directed to immediately start work on these projects.
Mahmood Khan directed that the social welfare building should be used for the campus of Women University Kohat.
He also directed for immediate efforts for establishment of a campus in Kohat of the Engineering and Technology.
Mahmood Khan said that tourism would be promoted in Kohat as a part of the overall policies guidelines of his government for the promotion of tourism in the province.
Thanda dam and Kasai projects would be developed for promotion of tourism in the district. He also assured a reasonable share within the WSSC Kohat for the beautification of Kohat.
