Lawyers observe strike in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: The District Bar Association on Friday observed strike against the massacre of thousands of Muslims in Burma.
They also boycotted the court proceedings to register their protest. Meanwhile, addressing a condolence meeting, DBA president Malik Muhammad Ayub Sialvi demanded the government take up the matter with the United Nations to stop the massacre. DBA secretary Rana Kashif Sultan said that the lawyers would take out a peace march at 10am today.
Meanwhile, civil society activists, Ulema, businessmen, students and teachers gathered at District Council Chowk and protested against the massacre of Muslims in Burma. The protesters led by Syed Zakirullah Hassani demanded the UN intervene to stop the killings of Muslims in Burma.
