The BRT nightmare
The BRT project has become a nightmare for residents of Peshawar. The work on the once promising project has polluted the already dusty environment of the city. Residents living near the BRT route are most affected. Many traffic wardens reportedly suffer from different respiratory diseases. Previously, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced that the project would be inaugurated on March 23, but the officials immediately informed that meeting the deadline is impossible. The reason for this delay is that the officials have now come to know that the width of the lane for the BRT route is narrow. Since the commencement of work on the project, we have been reaching home/office late. Sometimes, we spend hours on the streets. The government should come forward and find a proper solution to the problem.
