Khassadars stage protest

WANA: About 1300 Khassadar personnel in South Waziristan on Wednesday staged a protest and blocked the Wana-Tank road for traffic to press the government to pay their salaries.
Led by Subedar Rasool Jan Wazir, Subedar Umar Khan Wazir, Sebedar Khurshid Wazir, the protesters chanted slogans against govt. They said that they had not been paid salaries for the last eight months despite performing their duties. They criticised the government for not honouring their promises. They warned that they would boycott polio vaccination campaign besides blocking all link roads of South Waziristan if the government did not fulfill their genuine demands till March 30.
