KARACHI: After a day’s delay due to flight issues, Pakistan teams on Tuesday flew out of Karachi for Bangkok to feature in the Asian Under-21 Men’s Beach Volleyball Championship scheduled to be held at Roi ET, Thailand, from March 15-18.
Two teams will represent Pakistan in the event, which will serve as qualifiers for the Under-21 World Championships.Zarnab Khan and Afaq Khan make one team, while the other consists of Usman Faryad Ali and Ahmad Mustafa Khan.
They are accompanied by manager Ijaz Ahmad and Iranian coach Hamid Movahedi. Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) said on Tuesday that the teams would play a few practice matches against different nations before the event for which the draws are yet to be held.The teams practised here at the Navy’s sports facilities at Minora during the last few days.
