LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said promotion of industrial sector is prime objective of the government and steps are being taken in this regard. He said this while talking to a delegation of industrialists, who called on him at the CM office here on Sunday.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was taking concrete steps to bring ease in doing business. The CM said no one would be allowed to create hindrances in the way of economic activities and promotion of the industrial sector would help create new employment opportunities besides strengthening of country’s economy.
Development of industry and provision of facilities to investors was basic pillar of our economic plan, he said and added that ‘our government has announced establishment of special economic zones for promotion of industrial sector.’ Old industrial estates would also be developed and government was taking revolutionary steps to promote small industries.
