Six milkmen held with 50,000 litre substandard milk

OKARA: The Punjab Food Authority teams along with police on Saturday arrested six milkmen and seized 50,000 litres adulterated milk.

On a tip-off, the PFA team checked milk tankers at Renala Khurd and found substandard milk in the vehicles. The PFA teams dispose of substandard milk in the Lower Bari Doab Canal. Locals told the PFA teams that there were numerous substandard milk manufacturing factories were present in the district. They were using poisonous chemicals and fertilisers to make milk, the locals added.

OUT OF ORDER ENGINE: The passengers of the Khyber Mail Express faced inconvenience when the train’s engine went out of order at Kissanwala Railway Station on Saturday. After many hours, another engine arrived at the railway station and the train left for Karachi.
