KARACHI: The top officials of the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) have felicitated the country’s seniors and women outfits for winning titles at the Asia and Middle East Bridge Championships 2015, which concluded in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday.
Nawab Yousuf Talpur, President PBF, while talking to ‘The News’ from Islamabad, commended the performance of both the outfits and expressed the hope that they would sustain the momentum in the World Championship to be held in Chennai, India, later this year.
“It’s very gladdening indeed that our seniors and women teams have proved their mettle at the regional level. Winning the BFAME trophy is quite an accomplishment but they should work harder to come good in the World Championship as well,” the PBF chief advised.
Gulzar Bilal, PBF Honorary Secretary, also praised the teams. “Nothing tastes sweeter than victory. The country’s bridge will be lifted by the triumphs. We are proud of their remarkable achievement,” he said.
