Backward province

I met an old, terminally ill Baloch from Dalbandin at the Kulsum International Hospital Islamabad recently. The poor man did not know that he was suffering from gastric malignancy. He said that he ventured out of his province for the first time and he was glad to see that Pakistan was a beautiful country but unfortunately his province was the most backward area with no good hospitals and no facilities whatsoever in the entire province. Those who can afford to either go to Karachi or come to Islamabad.
He said that he felt like throwing his medical papers on the CM’s table and ask him what they are doing except distributing money among a few people whereas the general masses are totally devoid of any civic facilities. His misery perturbed me. The federal government, Balochistan in particular, should improve governance and build new hospitals with qualified doctors.
