Shab-e-Baraat observed with religious zeal From Our Correspondent GUJRANWALA: Shab-e-Baraat, the 15th of Sha’aban also known as the night of blessings and glory was observed with traditional religious fervor and solemnity. Muslims offered special prayers at specially illuminated mosques where eatables and sweets were distributed among the faithful. The faithful recited the Holy Quran and Naats in mosques and for the whole night they prayed. On Wednesday several people kept fast. Scholars delivered lectures on the importance of this night. Sound of crackers and fireworks was also heard. MAN DIES IN ACCIDENT: A man was killed in a road accident on Wednesday. Mushtaq along with his wife and two children was riding a motorcycle. A speeding tractor trolley hit them near Shalmar Town in the Aroop police area, leaving Mushtaq dead on the spot and his wife and children injured. The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital.
