CHAKWAL: A case was registered against 25 people who snatched two butchers from police custody in Gahi village in the area of Kallar Kahar police station on Wednesday.
Police arrested butchers Imran Sattar and Jabbar Safdar on charges of selling meat illegally. Police party seated the butchers in police van when accused Akhtar Fazal and Pervaiz Karam Elahi and their accomplices came and snatched the butchers from police custody and hurled threats.
PETROL STATION LOOTED: Four gunmen stormed a petrol station situated near Dheri Jaba village in the area of Choa Saidan Shah police station and took away cash, mobile phones a rifle.
Hamid Zahoor told police that four robbers arrived on two motorcycles and they snatched RS 29,000, two mobile phones and a 7mm rifle.
