Islamabad: As part of efforts to protect the women's right to inheritance, the federal government has planned legislation on it, said human rights minister Dr Shireen M Mazari on Wednesday.
She told a seminar on 'Living with Dignity' here that a bill promising the grant of the right to inheritance to women was on the anvil and would be tabled in parliament soon. The minister said it was the responsibility of the state to protect the rights of every citizen, especially those of women, children and religious minorities.
