Bilawal likely to be elected NA body chief today
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is likely to be elected as Chairman Standing Committee of National Assembly on Human Rights in its meeting scheduled to be held today (Tuesday) to elect its Chairman.
The election of Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Human Rights was scheduled for hold its meeting two weeks, but it could not be held due to absence of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who was on private visit to the United States and Europe.
The chairmanship of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on Human Rights was awarded to the PPP as per agreement between the government and Opposition on the chairmanship of the Standing Committees.
Meanwhile in a brief talk with the newsmen at the Parliament House on Monday, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that he will talk on the foreign policy in detail in the National Assembly.
His response comes when the journalist asked him whether he thinks that Pakistan needs to revisit its foreign policy. “I will talk in detail on foreign policy in the National Assembly,” he said.
When another asked what message of Pakistan, he conveys in his foreign tour, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari replied that he hold meetings with the different international leaders and tries to portray the positive image of Pakistan. ‘I will talk about my foreign visit in detail soon,” he replied.
