Ranking tennis begins today
LAHORE: The Pearl Continental Lahore-backed Ranking Tennis Championship will start from March 4 here at Bagh-i-Jannah’s coaching centre courts.
According to Punjab Lawn Tennis Association secretary Rasheed Malik, players from across the Punjab Province will be in serious action to win the gifts and trophies in various age categories including Mens Singles, Ladies singles, Boys U – 18, Boys U – 16, Boys U – 14, Boys / Girls U – 12, Boys / Girls U – 10, Boys / Girls U – 8 and Boys / Girls U – 6.
Tournament Director is Rashid Malik who further informed that for the development and encouragement of Junior Players, eight categories have been announced for Pearl Continental Lahore Ranking Tennis Championship.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be held on March 5 at 4 pm. Roy A. Kappenberger (GM Pearl Continental Lahore) will be the chief guest of the opening and inauguration ceremony of the event. All final matches of the championship will be played on March 9 at 2:00 PM at Punjab Tennis Academy, he added.
