ISLAMABAD: A report of the Senate House Standing Committee on Aviation Division was presented in the Senate Friday, which said that as many as 339 persons were issued free tickets by PIA during the last three years, costing the airlines Rs10.867 million.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Ch Tanvir Khan had asked the question, seeking details of names and designations of persons, who were issued free tickets in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018. The question was referred to the committee by the chair.
Those who availed the free PIA travel included ministers, crew members, CAA officials and legal consultants as well as brand MGTs, the report said.
