HARIPUR: The officials of Human Development Organization (HDO) donated laboratory kits and an ultrasound machine to Haripur jail hospital here on Friday.
Member Supreme Court’s Oversight Committee on jail and known human rights activist Sadaqat Khan, on behalf of HDO, handed over an ultrasound machine, two examination couches, a centrifugal machine, boxes of laboratory kits used for diagnosis of different diseases like HIV, malaria, typhoid and others, to jail superintendent Maqsood Khan. Speaking on the occasion, Sadaqat Khan said that prisoners were the most ignored community and owing to their social status and stigma attached to them, their problems often remained unaddressed.
