Pakistan thrash Bahrain in World Junior Tennis play-offs

KARACHI: Pakistan defeated Bahrain 3-0 in the play-offs of Asia-Oceania Pre-Qualifying ITF World Junior Tennis Competition in Colombo on Friday.After failing to qualify for the next round, Pakistan won their first match in the competition.Huzaifa Khan thrashed Jaber Abdulaal 6-1, 6-1 in the first singles match.Hamid Israr smashed Isa Alqattan 6-0, 6-0 in the second singles match. In doubles, the pair of Hassan Ali and Huzaifa defeated the duo of Jaber and Isa 6-1, 6-2.Pakistan will now face Bangladesh in the 9th-position match.
