In civilised and true democratic societies, all institutions perform their duties with utmost professionalism and responsibility by being objective and focused. Globally, the media has acquired a great importance and significance for objectively and professionally presenting information to the public. But, unfortunately, the Indian media never remains objective whenever it comes to reporting on any event that involves Pakistan.
It always propagates hate and venom against Pakistan, its government and armed forces. Even in the current scenario, the Indian media has been adding fuel to the fire. The Pakistani media, on the other hand, has been responsible and professional. It has remained objective and didn’t resort to jingoism. India claims itself to be the largest democratic country, in addition to claiming of being a secular one. But its actions have always been contrary to such claims.

Despite being attacked by Indians from so many fronts, Pakistan has shown a great sense of responsibility. Following the Pulwama attack, India started beating the drums of war. It left no leaf unturned in maligning the global image of Pakistan. Without any evidence, the Indian government kept blaming Pakistan for involvement in the Pulwama attack.
In this atmosphere of Indian war hysteria, it was not a surprise that India violated the sanctity and sovereignty of an independent state, and entered into Pakistan’s airspace. Being still in a defensive mode, Pakistani forces shot down two jets, taking one pilot into their custody. Despite all this, the Pakistani prime minister offered peace when at the same time Modi was boasting about the airstrikes. The ISPR too stressed on maintaining peace in the region and warned that war may lead to huge destruction on both sides. Expressing statesmanship in its truest form and taking another step towards normalisation, Prime Minister Imran Khan declared to release the captured Indian pilot. However, even this good gesture was mocked brutally by the Indian media. I urge international community to take notice of Indian provocations in response to Pakistan’s tolerance.
