OKARA: A woman was shot dead by his uncle at village Lai Bala on Thursday. Asia Bibi got a divorce from her husband due to some domestic dispute. Later, she allegedly eloped with
her paramour. Her
uncle Abdul Qayyum searched for her and brought her back. He took her to the fields and allegedly shot her dead. The police have arrested the accused and registered a case.
BODY FOUND: A corpse of a woman was found flowing in the Lower Bari Doab Canal (LBDC) near Renala Khurd on Thursday. The by-passers informed the police which shifted the body to the hospital. The body was unidentifiable. Police have started tracing the whereabouts of the victim’s family.
