NAWABSHAH: The Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirza Nasir Ali, chaired a meeting of all the administrative and local government heads to take stock of the preparedness at the division in view of the prevailing emergency.
Addressing the meeting, the commissioner said control rooms have been set up at the divisional and district levels. Directing to cancel leaves of all the employees, the commissioner instructed the DCs to maintain vigilance and be prepared to meet any emergency situation. Mirza Nasir called upon the participants to visit the government buildings, schools and colleges and ensure their utilization in case of any emergency. He also directed the disaster management authorities to keep the necessary machinery and related facilities handy. He also directed the health department and hospitals to ensure the availability of surgeons and doctors around the clock and adequate storage of life-saving medicines.
