CPEC to help in getting rid of anti-Islam states hegemony
Hafiz Saeed calls for forming Islamic Union on the pattern of European Union
From Our correspondent
FAISALABAD: India has arbitrarily diverted rivers originating from Kashmir and constructed small dams to deprive Pakistan of its water share, said Jamaatud Dawa ameer Prof Hafiz Muhammad Saeed.
Addressing a function organised by the Agro Wheat Forum Pakistan at a local hotel on Monday, he said that India was determined to turn Pakistan’s agriculture land baron while the stringent conditions of the IMF had resulted into collapse of industries in the country.
Under the circumstances, the only way to get rid of the anti-Islam states hegemony lays in the successful launch of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he added. The JuD ameer suggested that the Muslim countries should immediately forge unity and form the Islamic Union on the pattern of the European Union to become economically and socially strong.
He said: “The US is making all-out efforts and spending billions of dollars to perpetuate India as leader of the continent but we would frustrate the nefarious designs of the super power with our unity.” He alleged that the Indian secret agency - RAW - was hatching conspiracies to encourage the terrorists to launch their terrorist activities in Pakistan but the valiant armed forces with the support of Pakistanis were frustrating the designs of India. He demanded the government not to accept the conditions of the IMF while getting loans, rather the government should boost agricultural exports to various countries to earn much-needed foreign exchange.
Dr Tahir Siddique, Dr Umar Farooq, Fayyaz Ahmad and other scholars of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad and the University of Sargodha also spoke on the occasion.
