LWMC pays dues to workers

LAHORE: As the heaps of garbage continued to rise on city roads, Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) released Rs60million to its Turkish contractors to pay salaries of workers who were on strike.
Lahore Deputy Commissioner Saleha Saeed, who is also chairman of the company, took notice of the issue and held a meeting with both Turkish contractors of LWMC here on Wednesday. LWMC Managing Director Khalid Nazir, all HOD`s and management of Turkish contractors attended the meeting.
