JEDDAH: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) called an emergency meeting of its Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir today (Tuesday).
On the request of Pakistan, a meeting of the Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir will be held at the OIC General Secretariat on Tuesday at 11 00 am, media reports said. The reports citing the notice said the meeting of the Contact Group will be held at the level of permanent representatives. The meeting will review the actions taken by the Indian government in the aftermath of the Pulwama incident in occupied Kashmir.
The Contact Group meeting will precede the 46th Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers scheduled for March 1 2 in Abu Dhabi said the reports. The group has criticized India in the past for human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir.
