Ready to respond to any aggression

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan during a meeting here on Monday expressed satisfaction on operational readiness of the armed forces.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday visited the Air Headquarters and both deliberated on operational environment including threat and response, DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said.

“Both chiefs expressed satisfaction on operational readiness, synergy and coordination,” the military spokesman in a tweet message said. In a tweet message after the meeting, the DG ISPR said that the Pak armed forces are fully prepared for a befitting response to any Indian aggression or misadventure InshAllah.

The army chief also visited the headquarters of Rawalpindi Corps where Corps Commander Lt. General Bilal Akbar updated him on operational situation and state of readiness along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed satisfaction on the state of preparations and readiness. The COAS, following his visit to troops at LoC on Friday, also met troops on along the Working Boundary near Sialkot and appreciated their high morale and readiness. “There is not anything sacred than defending the motherland. I take pride in leading an army which is ever ready to perform this duty,” he said.
